We just finished Week 2 of sailing camp on Lake Dillon Reservoir. This week, the SOS Outreach kids returned. SOS is a program which allows undeserved youth to participate in outdoor programs they would normally not be able to afford. We were so very happy they could join us again this year. The wind and weather were challenging at the beginning of the week, but all the kids were able to get out and test their skills. Thank you to all the kids and parents for another great week.
We had an awesome first week of camp with kids local to Summit County. The weather was amazing and the wind was perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better group of kids! Check out the Facebook page for more photos and also a short video.
Happy Memorial Day Weekend! The lake is finally melted and is starting to rise. The Dillon Marina is open this weekend, as well as the newly remodeled Tiki Bar. Our dock is in the process of being refurbished and will be more safe for all students. We hope everyone enjoys this beautiful weather and gets outside for whatever activities you enjoy. Don't forget, the early registration discount ends May 31st. Have a great weekend!
Information and registration for the 2013 Junior Olympic Festival on Lake Dillon is now live. The Dillon Yacht Club is hosting the event out of Frisco Bay Marina again this year. Regatta dates are July 26-28. There will be a clinic and on water training featuring Jim Young on July 26th. Click here for more information!
We are starting to get registrations for the summer. Don't forget to register before May 31 to get an early registration discount. Still lots of space left in most sessions.
We are also looking to hire a US Sailing certified instructor or a strong sailor/past instructor willing to get certified before the season begins. Contact us via email for more information and questions.
Hope everyone is having a great winter. The summer schedule is now updated. We will possibly be adding more classes before the summer begins. Check back for more updates! Hope you enjoy the new website. Let us know what you think.
