Dillon Juniors Give One-Two Punch at Chatfield!

The Chatfield Jr. Regatta has become a favorite for the DYC Junior racers. It is a fun, casual atmosphere with great hospitality provided by the Chatfield Yacht Club. And while there wasn't much wind for this year's event, it still proved to be a challenge of tactical wits.

Ben Schoeffield and Jordan Nelson both competed in the Laser Fleet with their radial rigs and they walked away with hardware once again. Jordan placed first and Ben placed second in a fleet of six lasers.

Jordan and Ben will be joined by George Darling and Steven Ragle as they head to San Diego to compete in the Junior Olympics July 15 - 17.

DYCJSP has created a history of excellent summer sailing programs. This summer, we will continue this tradition and offer the best programs in the Rocky Mountains. We teach Junior sailors ages 10- 18 in all levels of sailing instruction from beginner sailors to advanced racers.

The Certified Instructors and Racing Coach, have been working hard to ensure that 2011 provides a fun and rewarding experience for all young sailors. To register click the register link at the top of this page.

We had such a wonderful time on the lake last summer. A record number of kids learned to sail and met new friends. Two of our graduates; Jordan Nelson and Ben Schoefield travelled the state winning regattas.

We can't wait to get together with our sailors from last year and to see some new faces. As soon as registration opens we'll post on this page. Until then you can follow us on facebook at Dillon Junior Sailing.

Its been a great summer managing for the third year in a row the Dillon Yacht Club's Junior Sail Program in beautiful Colorado on Lake Dillon - 10,000 feet above sealevel. These kids are fantastic, smart and fun! We are so incredibly blessed to sail on a challenging and gorgeous lake surrounded by the Rocky Mountains. Sea Dog Sailing, Inc. also donated a trip to the BVI at the famous Dillon Open Regatta which has just finished this weekend.
